On top of that, we had access to SUP boards, which we used to explore both sides of the lake, and bicycles for magical rides just 10 minutes from the Italian border, where we enjoyed a chilled Aperol. We had an amazing room with air conditioning – something you don’t usually find in Switzerland. A special thank you to our hosts, who were always available, ready to help, and happy to provide anything we needed to make our stay in their apartment truly wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay!

Hotel Garni Villa del Sole is located in Ponte Tresa, a 20-minute walk from Lake Lugano. It offers accommodation with kitchenettes and terraces, overlooking Monte di Varese and Malcantone. Everything was amazing. Our hosts were very friendly and kind. Beautiful and clean room with a great terrace. Homemade confiture that was served with breakfast from fruit grown on the property was the best I’ve ever had.

He helped me with my laundry and even walked me to the nearest ATM. The cat was very nice and comical, he loved the water tap! The apartment was exceptionally clean and it was in a very quite location, but also was not far from the main parts of the city! Easy to get to by public transport from the train station as well. I loved it and would recommend this place to anybody!
