I had a really enjoyable stay at Viajero Calafate Hostel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always happy to share helpful tips about the area and recommend activities. The hostel itself has beautiful views of Lake Argentino and the surrounding mountains, which made for a really nice atmosphere. My room was clean and comfortable, perfect for resting after long days of exploring. The common areas were a great place to relax, with a well-equipped kitchen and cozy spaces to meet other travelers. I also appreciated the included breakfast, which was simple but tasty and a good way to start the day.

Our room was big with a lot of storage space. The shared kitchen and sitting area were comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed for our 2-night stay. Although the bathrooms are downstairs, it was great to have a private bathroom so that you can leave your toiletries there. The living room was kept warm at all times, which was very welcome after cold and snowy hikes. Pili was a great host and gave us tons of information. Being there in low season means not everything is open, so it was extra valuable having her insights. The location is really central, with most things within walking distance.

This place was much better than I expected. The little cabin is super cute. Communication is with the host was fantastic, she left hiking poles in the room and provided lots of information about the treks in the area which was very helpful. Great location right next to the Main Street but also very quiet. Lovely views of the mountain and river and a little bench outside to enjoy the scenery.
