It was like staying at your relative’s house. Felt like home. The hosts were very helpful nice people. Room was large and clean. Price was decent and they provide Tuktuk service and scooter for rent. Overall was fantastic. Also got help for ordering food as it was late and exchange of currency.

Kumudu was very helpful all the time although we just stayed for one night. We were allowed to use his kitchen without any extra fee. The WIFI also did his job. Showering was able with WARM water.

Everything here was perfect. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot with great pressure, everything clean and well looked after. It is very peaceful and quiet, and the view of the mountains and river is better than any TV ! The private balcony added extra comfort. Surrounded by green trees and monkeys. The breakfast was superb, deliciously home cooked. Suresh even gave me equipment to cut some fruits I bought in the evening. Dinner and lunch is available for an extra cost, and the dinner I had was equally delicious! Suresh and his wife have created a beautiful place for travellers to stay. I came here after Dhamma Kuta, and it was exactly what I needed. I recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you so much.

Everything about this place is absolutely perfect! The room, the cleaning, the attention to details they had, the view, the food, from Breakfast to the dinner they were perfect, the location immersed into the nature in the jungle of ella hills and close to the river , but last the main important thing, our host family, with nirosh conducting everythinh we needed like he was our captain of the ship. I absolutely loved it. went there with my girlfriend this has been the best choice of our trip to sri lanka. Highly recommended! We came as guests, we left as friends. I cannot explain it in words, you have to try it yourself. 10/10 is my vote only because i cannot put 100. Perfect!❤️

This property has amazing views, so clean and beautiful. The best thing about this place though is the family, I will never forget how warm hearted they were and instantly felt like they cared for me. We chatted a lot, and we all ate together in the evenings, easily will be one of my most cherished memories in Sri Lanka. You have to stay here!! Kindest people ever.

We had a wonderful two-day stay at Kotmale Homestay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable retreat. Whether you're exploring nature, historical sites, or simply enjoying the scenic beauty of Kotmale, this homestay is a perfect base. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with great care, offering a delightful taste of home-cooked Sri Lankan cuisine. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. What made our experience even more special was the warm hospitality of the private host and their family. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, engaging in friendly conversations and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their kindness and hospitality truly set this place apart. Overall, Kotmale Homestay is a gem—a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place with excellent food and a fantastic location. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

    The owner were very helpfull, they picked us from the busstation for free. It's possible to get tasty local food (breakfast, lunch & dinner). It's possible to fly the drone from the rooftop or doing Yoga. We would recommend the homestay.
