The staff was really nice and kind, they even brought me to a local hotspring by car, otherwise it would have been an hour+ walk up a mountain, they showed me some cultural places around the area. They really invested time and effort into there guests :)

We had such a lovely time at Corner Shop. We stayed in the tatami mat room which was perfect for us, the rooms are so spacious, beautifully laid out and we had a view out onto the mountain. The toilet and shower room were also very clean and spacious. There is also a small kitchen with sink, kettle, fridge and crockery that we could use. The guest house is above a cafe/shop/bar with a really nice atmosphere and the staff were so friendly, kind and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this was the best place we have stayed in Japan and we will definitely be recommending it to friends! Miyota is a great location in a stunning landscape. It is easily accessible by train from Tokyo and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance of Corner Shop.

Everything about this place was great. The owner is so nice, so helpful, very funny and outgoing. We had lovely chats with him! Also he helped us a lot with planning our hikes and our transport. The breakfast and dinner provided were great, very healthy and fresh. The dorm room was super comfortable and cozy. The hostel is surrounded by trees and waking up there is one of the best experiences we had in Japan! Would 100% come back when visiting Japan again!

I've stayed here before and would recommend it highly. Very accomodating staff/owners, excellent facilities and a great relaxed feel.

Situated around a 15-minute stroll away, or 900 metres from Naka-Karuizawa Station, the completely non-smoking Bellscabin Guesthouse provides cosy rooms in bold colours and free WiFi throughout.

I went to Karuizawa for nature and birds and found what I was looking for! The accommodation was wonderful. The host was very friendly and was renting out bicycles for a small fee which I used to get around!
