This is one of those rare hidden gems, located about a 10 minute drive inland from Aberystwyth. And what a wonderful surprise when we arrived. A beautiful grand mansion from times past, transformed by past and current owners into excellent accomodation, yet with the provision of all modern facilities. The size of the bedroom and bathroom took our breath away, the bed was large and very comfortable and the views out over the rural Welsh countryside were very tranquil and peaceful. While we did not meet the owners, they were excellent with their communication by text and email, both before, during and after our stay. A continental breakfast pack was provided for each day of our stay, which was perfect for our needs, along with nice tea and coffee making facilities. Some period furniture and ornate fireplace added to the sense of grandeur, yet everything was tastefully laid out and provided for.

Saint Cadfans Lodge is situated in Tywyn, 32.3 miles from Aberystwyth and 33.6 miles from Bala. Tywyn Train Station is just 650 yards away. Saint Cadfans Lodge features free WiFi.

Peace and quiet. Great location – close to everything. Perfectly equipped, with everything you need. A cozy, uncrowded place, perfect for a weekend getaway. Wonderful artdeco house. We had the apartment with view to the river / sea on both sides and a wonderful place outside to sit and watch the sun go down. Loves it!! Bed was super comfortable too 😁😁
