Rooms were spotless, the interior design of the whole guest house was fantastic and the hosts and their staff were warm and welcoming. Coffee was outstanding. Martina and Claus also gave us a great recommendation for a stunning hike on table mountain as well. They made sure when we returned in the evening we were safe and sound. Had a nice afternoon walk down to Sandy Bay beach and a workout coming back up the sand dunes. Worth the hike back up from the beach!

Perfect location for the sites we wanted to see and close to many restaurants. Easy to find, exceptional response time to our questions. USB plugs at the bedside and blazing fast internet. Wonderful terrace and a drying rack for our clothes. A washing machine was also on site and perfect for us to do a quick load of clothes. Everything about this stay was perfect.

The host were very welcoming and attentive! Which made the stay comfortable. The views from the property were amazing! Would definitely stay there again.

Kronendal Heritage if a fabulous guesthouse situated in a safe neighbourhood in Hout Bay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff and owner, Maggie are very attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. There is a very nice large saline pool that does not have any added chemicals. Excellent breakfasts. We have stayed here 4 times and the standard hasn’t dropped.

Our stay at Bluemari's Retreat was an absolute delight from start to finish. It is a luxury retreat in every way... a beautiful house and garden in a quiet and safe location which exudes calm and serenity. All rooms are stylish and well equipped with comfy beds, quality bed linen and top notch bathrooms. The outdoor bath in Flamingo is fabulous. The pool area, dining room, lounge and library are beautiful too and we were made to feel so 'at home'. EVERYTHING is of the highest quality and EVERYWHERE is immaculate. Huge thanks to Jan and Evelyne who are superlative hosts, so charming and so efficient with great knowledge of the area. Serving the most delicious breakfasts including perfect poached eggs and omelettes, helping with recommendations for restaurants and adding many personal touches that made our stay so memorable. From homemade biscuits, a cellar of superb wines and a handy phone charger by the kettle to Christmas gifts and music on Christmas morning and an invitation to a braai on our last night. The best hotels just cannot match the style, charm and serenity of Bluemari's Retreat. If you are planning to stay near Cape Town, you must stay here!
