The elegant Villa Retezat is situated in green surroundings in the Furnica neighbourhood of Sinaia. It offers panoramic views of the Bucegi Mountains and of Sinaia from the terrace. We liked the traditional ambience, the stained glass windows, the wood panelling, the friendly service, quiet location + of course the omelettes and good coffee for breakfast! This historic building was designed by the same Czech architect who designed the smaller of the two well known local castles and it was his home for many years. It is not luxurious and isn't staffed 24/7 but it suited us fine and we liked it a lot. We stayed two nights and would stay there again if we came back to the area. The two famous castles are 20-25 minutes walk away by quiet back roads.

Very clean, the staff was very helpful, the kitchen is fully equipped and very useful for a coffee or some breakfast before starting your day. It is close to the center and to the train station.

It is spacious, airy, modern with the most comfortable bed and a fridge. The balcony is a large space with a beautiful view. Everything you need is a short distance walk. It is a calm and peaceful location. The host at the accommodation is absolutely lovely. We had a personal issue (unrelated to the accommodation), and the host was so helpful and supportive. We wholeheartedly recommend.

Great pillow & bed, which is not always easy to find. There is a kitchen area with a coffee machine and everything you would need to cook yourself a little breakfast in the morning, or for a snack. Breathtaking views that will exceed your expectations, trust me.
