The house is lovely and has wonderful grounds to enjoy. We had one rainy morning in which we read our books in the sitting room area, which was cozy and quiet. The breakfast was very nicely appointed as well. We had the family room, which was larger than we needed, but allowed us to spread out nicely. We would have liked to stay for longer!

Then there was the view from the dining/lounge room overlooking the bay with Monte de Guia and Ilha do Pico in the background. Each morning we relaxed on the balcony as we had our coffee and listened to the surf gently rolling in. This was all highlighted by the friendly and attentive staff which were there during the daytime hours. Location was perfect with a short walk to the middle of town and the marina. Free street parking (residential area) was available right at the front door. Never an issue.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay!

The terrace on the roof has a beautiful view over the sea/bay. Even the Beach is just around the corner where you can go for a swim. Towels are arranged. The host is very helpfull. Staying at Mar Rosa is highly recommended.
