There is a nice roof terrace to hang out with other travellers or the pet birds and rabbit. My room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Best of all was Fabiola, who runs the hostel, who is among the kindest and loveliest people I've met while travelling through Peru! (You can book tours through the hostel too)

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. It is a really nice place which looks fantastic. The architecture is phenomenal.
