Eide Gard was perfect for our overnight stay in Skjolden. Mara was extremely helpful showing us around and stayed up to serve us drinks on the deck overlooking Lustrafjorden. Nice and secluded place to rest up for two, especially if you’ve been camping for a while. Very affordable for boutique lodging. Ask her for hiking tips! She has a fun one up her sleeve.

The host was kind and welcomed us, even though we booked only a few minutes before arrival and it was late evening. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary appliances. It was lovely to have a sauna, especially after a long and cold travelling day. The area is stunning and you can almost spot the mountains straight from your bed.

This is a beautiful property that has been in the family for generations. The entire property was beautifully maintained and our room was modern and spotless. The bed was so comfy and the bedding and pillows were great. Olav was the perfect host.

Having a sofa and an extra comfortable chair in my room was a real bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped and spotless — I could prepare my dinner without any hassle. The bathroom felt just like home. A washing machine was available, and unlike most shared places, detergent was also provided. That was such a thoughtful detail and made it easy for me to do my laundry — thank you! I will definitely be back. Very highly recommended!

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. I loved everything about it! Staffs were helpful and respectful. The view was just spectacular, especially during sunrise and sunset. Advise to get an additional bed in the cottage room which will be on the sofa, waking up to that view was just phenomenal. Room was clean, well-designed, cozy and beautiful. Has everything you would need for an overnight or a few days stay. Loved the paper that had information about wifi, taxi, etc.. Had a restaurant right outside, just a minute walk away from bus stop, the beach, the riverside.. A great stay contributed much to our family vacation and experience, definitely worth it.
