From a terracet tere is a view of the bay and Le Morne, beautiful sunsets. The lady gave us a canoe and we paddled to the island of Ile aux Benitieres. We were alone on the island, otherwise it is full of tourist boats. Larger store approx. 1 km away, near the restaurant. Strongly recomended.

This was the most peaceful place we have stayed in a while. Super friendly host/hostess and staff. It was like we were staying with some relatives. The location was excellent, the sunsets you get are amazing. There were great restaurants nearby, which served amazing food. Also we had variety in breakfast, no two days were the same. Which you do not get at the resorts. It is a place you have to experience, nothing can describe it. And yes the rum was 😋

It was a fantastic place, quiet and peaceful. The houses and the garden were very picturesque and the view to Le Morne fabulous. And the sunset...... The hosts were very helpful and service minded and gave a lot of advices were to go and were to eat. If you want a romantic and quiet place in the south of Mauritius, we strongly recommend this place

We stayed here for 5 days, so it was perfect start to know the island, it is close for walking in NP Black Rivers Gordes, Le Morne and relax in Flic-en-Flac Beach, long beach with white sand a plenty of possibility for refereshment, by the evening close the restaurant, or you can cook in own kitchen. The owner were very helpfull and kind, all you can need is in the accomodation, you can used washmachine too.

Featuring an outdoor pool, Happy Days Guest House is located in La Gaulette and 5 minutes' drive from Le Morne and the beach. The property has views of Bénitiers Island. This may be the place with the most beautiful view in the whole Mauritius. I also had the room next to the tree with the cutest birds building their nests there- it was magical. In the morning there were rooster to hear, it’s the real village idyll feeling. It was so quiet, I don’t remember when I slept that good last time in my life. The neighborhood is full of such beautiful plants and trees, cats, dogs and birds, I was so captivated by it. Sabrina, the host was so lovely, helpful and facile, I felt like I am visiting the old friend. The rest of the team was also very lovely. The breakfast was super nice, with the different fruits and juices every morning and the Greg’s omelette was the best that someone ever prepared for me, I could eat it every day. This place is perfect for somebody who is looking to rest and relax and doesn’t want to be surrounded by crowds and too many people. I loved every second there and feel really blessed that I stayed there.
