The hosts were very helpful and service minded and gave a lot of advices were to go and were to eat. If you want a romantic and quiet place in the south of Mauritius, we strongly recommend this place

Located on the West Coast of Mauritius Island, Le Gite du Bonheur Guest House & Car Rental is a self catering guest house located in Tamarin, at the foot of the popular La Tourelle Mountain and a 5... Le Gite is ideally located to visit the West side. Close to sea excursions and hikes. Recommended to have a car. We enjoyed the gym, spa and the big swimming pool. My husband and I were very happy to stay. If you want to have a luxury experience then this place isn't the place to be for you. It is like a homestay, there's everything you need. The location is really good, the beach and restaurant are walking distance (within 7 min) The hosts are really friendly and helpful. Some reviews said the internet speed is low. But I could work smoothly(I didn't use video or voice call though) We didn't use kitchen for cooking. Gus stove with oven and pots are there. The washing machine isn't attached inside of your room, but it is outside for use. I am sure we will be back here if we come to Mauritius again !

Featuring an outdoor pool, Happy Days Guest House is located in La Gaulette and 5 minutes' drive from Le Morne and the beach. The property has views of Bénitiers Island. The breakfast is what I usually like to have — good coffee, really good baguette, omelette and some fresh fruits. The place is very clean and well maintained. The owner really likes solid wood furniture. The beds, the dining tables and some others were shipped here from Bali. The hostess Sabrina was also amazing and helped us solve some logistics issues with local vendors.
