It was easy to find the property and someone met us to let us in. The cottage was very clean and well presented. The caretaker showed us around, explained how to use the fireplace and the sauna, and gave us good general information. The cottage was reasonably warm when we checked in (outside temp was -20) but I don't think the central heating had been on long, as it was warmer the next day. The kitchen had everything we needed. The surrounding area was beautiful, with the frozen lake a few hundred meters from the house and forest walks near by. The caretaker cleared the snow the next day to allow us to drive to Cesis.
