I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

Surf Lodge Madiha mempunyai taman, kawasan pantai peribadi, teres dan restoran di Matara. The Surf Lodge is beautifully decorated with a lot of love and taste. It offers amazing breakfast and a direct access to the beach. It is managed by the super kind Che who was always very attentive to help us organize a few things around the area. What we particularly loved about the hotel (apart from the amazing spacious rooms and the delicious (vegetarian) food) was that it is Che’s family home and has such a friendly and calming vibe :) it’s only a short walk to local restaurants and bars and Madiha’s main beach is also only a few minutes away. Great location, right by the beach! The beach is great for a swim and less than a 5min walk to Turtle point where you can snorkel and see fish and turtles! Great and varied breakfast with a view. The room is beautifully designed and was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay!

One minute to the beach and you can see the Coconut hill from the room. Nearby (minute by walk) is a spa centrum where you can be treated by massage. The owners were nice :) we did a yoga session with a Slovak lady who blessed our day and we are co grateful we met her, See you soon!

The room was clean and spacious and had a beautiful balcony overlooking the river. Great spot for bird watching. The host family was great! Excellent and knowledgeable rainforest guide, and his parents who ran the kitchen cooked amazing meals. The food was outstanding!
