I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

My stay at Corner Cottage will remain a positive memory of my time in Sri Lanka. Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU mempunyai penginapan berhawa-dingin di Nochchiyagama. Terdapat teres dan tetamu boleh menggunakan WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma. I would highly recommend this place for both locals and foreigners alike. The caretaker is amazing, he came to the road on his scooter to show us the way. The owner is super responsive and flexible.

They waited for us until midnight for check-in and prepared a take-away breakfast for our morning safari. Room is clean.

Terletak di Habarana, 10km dari Pidurangala Rock, VISU VILLA hotel mempunyai penginapan dengan kolam renang luaran, tempat parking peribadi percuma, taman dan lounge berkongsi. Ruwan and his family/team are great hosts. They organise all you need and more if you have issues (like us with incovenient cash notes, shuttle from the train station, etc.). Would always recommend staying in Visu Villa hotel if one is in the region of Habarana. The food is great as well and always fresh made. The tours are fantastic as well.

Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Great service, clean and spacious rooms and delicious food. They arrange transportation from station to hotel and return upon request.

Upali and his wife provided us with a wonderful home stay experience. Genuinely lovely people who were available to help. Breakfast was great. Close to town yet peaceful.

The whole family is extremely nice and really make you feel at home. They can help you organise your trip if needed. The homestay is really well located, in the city center but on a very quiet back road, right in front of the lake. The room was basic but spacious and very clean. Very good value for the money. I would highly recommend!
