The room had a private bathroom inside and mosquito net on the window. Breakfast was great, with a delicious omelette, and we were given a lunch box to take with us for our hike in the nearby nature reserve. After a generous dinner with lots of variety, our host shared his stunning nature photography with the explanations as he is a biologist—we saw his perfect photos with so many endemic flowers and beautiful birds. The next day after a big breakfast, he took us to Turar and negotiated the price with the shared taxi drivers on our behalf as we don’t speak Russian/Kazakh. Overall, the price paid for the services was very reasonable, and we were given a detailed breakdown item by item.
