The owners, a young couple with child, were really friendly and always supporting. The room on 2nd floor was tidy and clean. All equipment, bathroom, free coffee and tea were impeccable. The first floor was a stunning, private library and at the entrance they run a cosy caffee with self baken scones and cookies and spirit, if you're keen on in the evening. Local friends and customers gathered there, always a pleasant option to get in contact with locals or having a refreshing chat. The value for money is top notch, so is the atmosphere.

So cool to stay in an old, traditional house, which had everything we needed. Owner was super friendly and even had some free pottery we were welcome to take. (And he had great suggestions for where to eat nearby and even left us some instant ramen to eat, if we got hungry.) The futon heaters were great and definitely needed when a cold wind storm blew in!

Owner was super sweet and nice. Spoke good English. The house was beautiful. The photo doesn't do it justice. Everything looked new, clean, and spacious. There is shared kitchen and bath. Location is great, it is quiet, close to the beach, Karatsu Castle, and Niji No Matsubara Pine Grove. If you are coming by car, be sure to message the owner so he can tell you where to park for free. Would stay here again. Thank you for the stay.

I wish we had stayed here longer! Very pleasant house, the room was nice, beds were clean and comfortable, and the shower was large. The kitchen was clean and well equipped, and we cooked dinner there. Ask the owner about the artwork inside the house! She also made several recommendations for places to go, landmarks and a cafe to visit. We went to some of these and are glad we did! She also assisted with a translation issue to help make a doctors appointment, and generally was just so welcoming. Other residents were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting.

Delightful and helpful host. Takeshi speaks some English which I very much appreciated. It is a private upstairs apartment that is Japanese style. It was a wonderful place to return to after a day of adventuring. I felt at home.
