Walking distance from several famous shrines and temples, and a lot of local eateries within walking distance as well. Great beer just down the road too. Host is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive even late at night. Was extremely lucky to get a room here during peak season considering they have a total of only four rooms. Rooms here are also more spacious than many hotels I've stayed at in kyoto and Japan in general. Will definitely come back!

The size is just right—not too big, not too small. It has all the basic amenities a traveler needs, plus a few extras. As a bonus, there are some local fluffy residents who seem to take their unofficial role as ‘welcoming committee’ very seriously. Hospitality was outstanding—many thanks again to Haruka and her husband for a fantastic stay!
