Very big room - could fit all of us, don't have any idea why we booked 2 rooms, we could easily book just one, and sleep two on the beds and two on the tatami.

The dinner at the guesthouse was one of the best we've had so far in Japan (one of the dishes was wild boar and venison). The guesthouse is very spacious and right in the middle of the village.

Atsushi was so nice and welcoming, speaking great English, and he drove me to Magome - the beginning of the trail. The house is a beautiful traditional house, very minimalistic and pleasant. Everything was so beautiful and comfortable! One thing you need to mind though - the village is very small, and there's nothing to do in the evening. Even finding open restaurants for dinner after 7pm is quite impossible

This place is much better than the pictures make it look! The facilities are in tip-top shape, everything is super clean, and best of all, the room was much bigger than it looked, and the bunk bed was extremely comfortable.
