The building itself is beautiful with a wooden beamed structure and plenty of natural light. They also have a couple of Weimaraner dogs who you can meet. We cannot thank the Gooseberry family enough for their incredible hospitality and genuinely hope to see them again in the future. Furano is a magical place made even more special by the people who live there!

The place is well organized, kept warm during the winter season and clean. Water and hot coffee is provided free at the hall area. Jimmy cares to check your schedule and offer to send and pick you up from the ski resort or town area if there is no other conflicting schedule. His wife is an exceptional cook and we highly recommend having breakfast and dinner at the Pension - it is affordable and full of warmth. The serving is better than many restaurants food. A must try if your trip schedule fits the timing. We had a great stay here and will come back again.
