We had a fantastic trip to Matera, and our experience at this hotel made it even better. We arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time, but the receptionist was incredibly kind and welcoming—she allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. The common area near the reception was very convenient, with amenities like a coffee table, coffee machine, fridge, and more—everything you might need was available. The room itself was beautiful and modern, with a stylish design and all the necessary comforts. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, especially considering the reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Matera!

The best breakfast during our 2 weeks in Italy. Room was perfect and window opened to a private courtyard if you wanted fresh air at night. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for reaching Matera in a 10 minute walk.

Set in a restored Tuff-stone building, Hydria Rooms is a guest house located in Matera, 60 metres from Sasso Barisano. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. The room was dreamy. Its better than the photos. It was the most magical morning in my life. There is coffee and other small snacks. If I come back in Matera, I will definitely stay in Hydria Rooms again!
