I would highly recommend this guesthouse for all types of travellers.

A guesthouse with its "own" waterfall? Possible. Located in a beautiful place, next to the mountains, with waterfalls all around. The room was perfect, shared bathrooms as well. The property has contacted me to inform about dinner... we opted in for the lamb soup and it was great, if you have the chance, do not miss it. Throughout the property there are pictures and little fun notes you want to read and see.

This family-run property is 400 metres off Route 1 and 15 km from Selfoss. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace. Homemade bread, jam and pastries are served for breakfast. Great accommodation, well placed for star trip. Excellent location for northern light chasing. The owners are very cooperative in all means. Very good breakfast in a Cousy and very pleasant dining room. Bottom line: warm recommendation.

But the best thing for us was the owner, who was worried about us (we spent 2 nights during a weather red alert ). We really appreciated this!
