Terletak di Joensuu, Idyllic upstairs apartment with two bedrooms menyediakan taman dan WiFi percuma di seluruh tempat penginapan. Everything was absolutely spectacular. It was one of the cosiest places we've ever stayed in, and it truly felt like home for the three nights that we spent there. There were so many things that were free to use whilst we were there too, which was very rare! Coco, the dog, was there to greet us too. Very cute! It was especially convenient that we had access to bicycles too, and everything in Joensuu was within a good distance to the apartment. If you like pizza, I ate the best pizza I've ever eaten in Finland at Pauliina Pizzeria, just a few minutes away. Hope to come back again! Kiitos hyvin paljon.

The whole town is in the middle of nowhere, even by Finnish standards. But then again, this is probably the appeal :) There is a train stop though on the Helsinki-Kuopio-Oulu line for Paltamo, which is about a 10 minute walk prom the property. There are big stores and a petrol station too nearby, and of course the river and the lake, which are beautiful. You can swim too, if you want. The property is a large and fairly luxurious private home by appearance, divided into some private bedrooms and generously large common areas, like kitchen and bathroom. All very clean at the time of my visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Gasthaus Mikkeli! This charming family-run guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The shared kitchen was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with complimentary snacks and fresh fruit thoughtfully placed on the dining table for guests to enjoy. My room was larger and had higher ceilings than most hotels I’ve stayed in, adding to the overall comfort. The atmosphere throughout the property was cozy and inviting — just like being in a warm, welcoming home. Highly recommended!

It was such a lovely surprise. I just needed some place to stay, and this place had everything I needed and that extra something 💕✨️. I was the only one for breakfast, but it turned out to be such a cosy start for the day, with wild herbs and all. Quiet and clean accommodation with a common kitchen. Lovely beach, view, and nature.
