He really took care of us and did his utmost to make our stay a great experience. Our bikes could be safely stored inside. We also had dinner at the Fonda Ca L'Abel: the 3-course menu was excellent value for money. Since we wanted to leave early, at 7 a.m., the host prepared breakfast in the evening, so we could have breakfast as early as we wanted. This was not a simple breakfast, but a complete breakfast with yogurt, cereal, bread, jam, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee and hot milk in a thermos: a great way to start a long cycling day!

Our hosts were very helpful and friendly. We wanted to do some walking and they made suggestions for us and also recommended other things. They told us about the Sunday market where we bought nice cheese. The property is in a quiet location near the lake and an easy walk to the town centre. It is a really nice house and we could use the kitchen, living room and pretty garden.

This is a basic hotel, but it had everything I was looking for : spotlessly clean, central location, friendly welcome and comfortable bedding. There is no breakfast service, but there is a common space with mini-fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee for 1 euro.

I stayed one night on my hike from Llívia to the wild thermal water springs at Fontpedrouse. I'd recommend everyone to take that hike, btw and visit the house and La Cabanasse this way. The Blue House is everything you would expect from staying in a Catalan mountain village in a nice renovated old house that's still feels old. What I liked about the house first, was that until you get your code and enter, I didn't really expect it to be so nicely to renovated inside. The photos of the interiors provided in Booking.com really do no good to the rooms. They are so much more lovelier and cozier. When I first entered the house, it almost felt that this house must be haunted. For me this is a huge compliment, btw. Needless to say, haunted it was not.
