We did not antecipate a boat ride on the Rheim river to a breautiful town, which was recommended by Ute, and we are so appreciative of it! Axel's wines were truly amazing, and the information given to us during the tasting about the different soils their 300-year old, 4-generation winery has their vinneyards planted in, were all very impressive!!! It made us wish we had more time to appreciate more of the winery and wines! I want to bring my parents now, since an area of study of my dad is soil analysis (he's a Chemistry Professor).
