There is a modern restaurant downstairs that serves Czech food, with a pleasant open patio right next to the creek. The staff of the property was absolutely amazing - friendly and always ready to help. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay most enyoable. Many thanks! :)

The pension is located in quit village in very nice building decorated with local country style. The hosts, Ilona and Eric, are very hospitable and friendly. The room is very clean. There are several restaurants in the village with locals cuisine and good bear. In the area a lot of routs for walking and hiking. We enjoyed every minute of our staying.

Nice and quiet area, the building is located right next to a hiking trail. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, the beds were very comfortable. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful! Breakfast prepared by the hostess was very nutritious and varied. She suggested that we could make sandwiches for our hike, which was very nice of her and thanks to that, we didn’t waste any food that she prepared. Since we were in Janov before the season, the local restaurants were closed, however, the hostess prepared a delicious dinner for us with dessert and local alcohols. We felt like home! We travelled with our dog and he was also welcomed there. Thank you very much!

We booked as 5 families with kids into 5 separate apartments. The apartments and the views from there were just awesome. There's a wonderful place where you can barbecue and sit out and eat, and there is every facility you will ever need to do that. We were fortunate to do an Easter egg hunt around the vast fields in the property as well as have a spread out Easter breakfast. The icing is .. the owner accommodates everything with a smile, even an unplanned ask to get us firewood. We loved this place and recommend it highly.

It's in Hřensko, the Czech size of the Bad Schandau area, and you can get there by taking the S-Bahn train to Schoena (the German side), then cross the river by ferry. Location-wise it's in the middle of all hiking routes and landmarks, so I'd highly suggest people stay in this hostel instead of the core Bad Schandau area. The guy who welcomed us was very nice, recommending us a few restaurants we could go to in the town. Breakfast was classic European style, and the scrambled eggs were so creamy! We got a room with a balcony facing the Elbe River, the beds are comfy, perfect for a short stay! They have plenty of space for parking if you drive.
