Breakfast was at the top and flexible between 7 and 9 with an omelet and plenty of cold fixings to fill one up. Arranged a shared taxi for my return trip to the airport that picked me up at the guesthouse. The room was large and fairly comfortable with nice hot water in the shower.

They have a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds around it to relax and enjoy the magnificent vibrant coloured flowers, shrubs and trees in the grounds. Extra towels were offered for us to lie outside on. Breakfast was outside in a covered area where little birds flew on and out. Lots of options with juice, fresh fruit, cold meat, cheese with bread rolls and cooked omelettes and various sweet and savoury treats. I expected not to be happy about sharing a bathroom but it was like we had our own bathroom as close as in a hotel and we never saw the people who we apparently shared it with. So don't be put off by the shared bathroom. We had about a 7 minute walk to have dinner out in local restaurant, Bellcantoo in Ribiera Grande. We were allowed to swim in the pool and sit around until well past checkout time as we had a taxi booked for 2pm. Wonderful hospitality.

Our host was welcoming, the house was super clean and the evening meal was tasty and all homemade. Our hosts very kindly helped with finding a private car to the coast when we needed to leave and couldn’t have been more helpful. Definitely a good place to spend a night or 2

Great views over the ocean from the terrace. In the center of town but still peaceful at night. Jörg is very knowledgeable about the area and great to chat with. We felt very much at home.
