Fantastic spacious rooms with very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean, you could eat from the floor. Warm showers and great location to do sightseeing. This is 100% owned by locals who put their heart and soul into it. Definitely would recommend.

Everything about this place was perfect. The place itself is a few minutes walk from nightlife but far enough for the peace and quiet. The staff were really friendly and excited to help. Out of my 7 day stay in Costa Rica, this was the most relaxing.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast provided was amazing and one of the best I had in Costa Rica. The property was quiet and peaceful, and the owner makes the best pasta and Italian food. If you stay here you must eat here. Close to playa Conchal and a short drive to playa flamingo.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Mapache. The grounds are beautiful with lots of greenery. The patio area and pool were amazing. The room was very clean and the bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here. 10/10

We loved it here. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the beach. We spent a few days here at the end of our holiday - relaxing and perfect for what we needed after quite a busy, strenuous time in Costa Rica. Playa de Avellanas has a lovely, laid back feel to it - not touristy (yet). Jose was excellent to communicate by with whenever I had any questions and very helpful when I enquired about transport contacts.

Very close to the bus stations. We loved the space. There is a backyard with couches and hammocks. Big kitchen with everything you need for cooking.

The host was extremely friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful with an indoor and outdoor space to relax in. The outdoor kitchen is well equipped with everything you'd need. I loved how there were lots of plants and flowers everywhere, which provided shade. The shops and restaurants are only a short walk away and the area is very safe. It's only a ten minute drive to the airport, so convenient for an early morning flight. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really clean. I'd stay here again for sure!
