Totally amazing place to stay! Highly recommended. First of all, it is only 7 mins walk from the ancient city of pangyao. It is also so nearby the railway station. You can go by DIDI or bus, both are so convenient. Second, the decor of the place is AMAZING! I couldn’t help take pictures and video when i first came it. They even have a swing and glass-fish! The staff are so friendly and nice people. The Owner gave me water when i first came and when i left. Whenever i ask for anything she always helps. They have bar and food there with nice prices. I didn’t eat there but saw the food, it looked so delicious. The rooms were also amazing, it is two levels bed and mine was the one above. Surprisingly, it was so comfortable too. When i move it doesn’t vibrate into the bottom bed. The toilet is clean and they have shower gel, hair shampoo, small towel, and toothbrush with toothpaste ready for you to use. The air conditioner works fine and the wi-fi is connected from my room.

Set in Pingyao in the Shanxi Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Xiangshengyuan Hostel features a terrace and views of the city. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

About 10 minutes' drive from Pingyao Railway Station, Pingyao Xinglongyi Inn offers affordable accommodation for travellers. Free WiFi is provided throughout the entire property. There are many French people staying here. The staff here are very enthusiastic and keep saying hello, leaving a very good impression on us. The room is very distinctive, the hygiene is clean, the facilities are good, and the hot water is sufficient! It's very comfortable to sleep. The hotel is strategically located on the main street, which is very convenient. There are scenic spots, restaurants and ticket offices at the door. We like it very much. We will come again. Thank you to every employee. We love this place very much.

Offering Chinese and Western food on site, Pingyao Harmony Hotel features well-decorated guestrooms and simple dormitory rooms for guests. The owners were very hospitable, really enjoyed sitting in various areas of facility. Be sure to have them arrange a car to get you to hotel. Cheap and easy.

This is a superb old guest house within the city walls, has a traditional and very comfortable room and a very nice courtyard. Everything in the room worked perfectly. Our host was very helpful in all respects and was able to sort out an additional night when our train was cancelled. It is located 10 mins from the north gate and 10 mins from all the ancient city attractions. Highly recommended and great value.
