We were welcomed at the airport and hostel in style. We received a lot of useful information about the Island and its people. The breakfast was extensive and tasteful and the best we received compared to other regions in Chile. When we had to leave early the hostess made us a breakfast we could take with us. The location was a 20-30 minute walk from the city centre and situated near a single Moai. It was beautiful and for us ideal. It could have been a bit cleaner for my taste (I’m quite a nag with hygiene), but everything else was so great, that it didn’t detract from our stay. We had such a nice time and will definitely stay here again if we return to the Island.

Offering a barbecue and terrace, Hostal Vieroto is set in Hanga Roa in the Easter Island Region, 400 metres away from the city centre. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Our stay at Hostal Vieroto was fantastic. The location is unbeatable, right across from the ocean, with a breathtaking view. It's just a ten-minute walk to the free Moai statues, perfect for catching both sunrise and sunset. The room was clean, and the communal kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. The host Claudio went above and beyond by helping us find a reliable local tour guide, making our Easter Island trip smooth and enjoyable. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it wasn't enough—we're definitely coming back!
