The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and the outdoor space including the large garden was accessible and beautiful. Sylvie and Erik were lovely hosts and made a delicious french breakfast.

Our hosts, Ria and Lorenzo, were exceedingly friendly, helpful and kind. Location could not be better as was every aspect of Villa Vauban. Hopefully, we will stay again when the Menin Gate is reopened.

A 5-minute walk from Ypres’ market square, La Porte Cochere offers elegant country-styled rooms situated in a historic mansion. Free Wi-Fi is available. The hosts were excellent. Very helpful for planning my days and recommending things to see and do. The room was large, very comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. The bnb is only five minutes walk from historical downtown, restaurants and museums but I never felt unsafe even walking after dark.
