Everything was perfect here - amazing view, delicious breakfast, very nice staff. Room was spacious and modern, very clean. They have fast wifi.

The best stay I've ever had. Memorable for life for sure! I was so stressed out by Kandy's hectic city vibes, that their beautiful hotel felt like an oasis (just as it looks and feels like on the photos). I had completely forgotten about dinner, and was surprised with scrambled eggs on toast (my favorite!). Chanaka & Moon are two beautiful people, who look after their guests wonderfully. Even though I would not like to visit Kandy city again, I would visit again only to stay at Villa Olde Ceylon for multiple days <3

Our stay at Mountain View Guest House was truly a dream come true, a perfect 10/10 in every way! We came here for our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully arranged, with a breathtaking view of the mountains that we could enjoy right from our window. We absolutely fell in love with the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and create unforgettable memories together. But what made our experience truly special was the owner, Kanu. He is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and exciting as possible. Whether it was offering us rides in his tuktuk to explore the area, stopping at beautiful spots for us to take photos, or simply checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, Kanu was always there with a big smile and a warm heart. His son was just as lovely and helpful, making us feel like part of their family. The hospitality, the stunning views, the peaceful surroundings, and the love and care we received made this trip one we will cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. Everything about Mountain View was mesmerising, peaceful, and perfect. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, with people who truly care, and views that will stay with you forever, Mountain View is the place to be. Great balcony to chill in. Surrounded by trees and the peace and quiet. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Takes about 20 minutes or so to walk to the center of town/lake. Some shops nearby, about 0.5km away.

Very clean room, very nice and huge bathroom. You can almost get lost in the bathroom ;-). The owner is super friendly and eager to tell you all about Kandy and a lot more. The breakfast is served on a big balcony and it tastes wonderfull! Great place to stay, easy walk to the city center.

The breakfast was not the same each day, made from western and local dishes. Delisious. Organic fruits from the garden. Fresh coconut! The room and all the place were sparkling clean and comfortable. Very green, with a view, relaxing, birds, each time we were happy to go back there after sightseeing. The garden is beautiful and well cared for. Kumar was very, very helpful and friendly, he found a solution to every question that we asked him. Very clean and very good internet. He found to us aa very good driver and organised our trip to the next destination. One day we hope to come again, to enjoy the place and to see him again.

The owner is really friendly. The property was so far the best we stayed in (it’s better than on the pictures). It was really clean. Good value for money. The property is located near the lake, we walked to all the famous attractions.
