Everything was absolutely spotlessly clean and new. While a little on the small side, our room was very comfortable, good value for money, and the A/C was quiet. Delicious breakfast prepared with great care each day. Our host was so nice and helpful and welcoming. Could not fault one thing. The Tide’s Tale high score is well deserved.

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel very very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The place is extremely clean and well cared for. The home cooked breakfasts are something else. Local cuisine made traditionally. Some of the best food I have had. One of the best places I have ever stayed at. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone travelling to Galle.

This is the best place I have stayed in Sri Lanka and possibly in the world. What a hidden gem!! The location is absolutely stunning, right on the beach facing directly west with the most amazing sunsets every night. The staff are incredible, it’s a super welcoming family business run by Indika and as a solo female traveller I really appreciated the personal touches and time they took to sit with me and chat. I had everything I needed and more. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We immediately felt at home at Villa Aroshina as the owner family is very warm and helpful. The breakfast was a typical one from Sri Lanka and it was excellent. Unfortunately we stayed there just one night. The location is not too far from the fort, but the Tuk Tuk is needed to go there.

If you want an authentic Sri Lankan experience, this is the place for you! Hosts are warm and very attractive, ready to share some stories with you! Tasty and abundant breakfast cooked on the spot, with a possibility to have dinner too, which is also very convenient! Room is basic, but has everything you need, there is a shared terrace where you can relax. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to escape Galle noise and crowds. Easy access to Galle Fort by tuktuk or bus.

Perfect location in the centre of Galle, with a courtyard oasis to escape to! The staff were very helpful and welcoming, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was simple but superb. We also enjoyed the pool, great to cool off in.
