Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

We had a great time staying in this home, it was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed.
The host was friendly and gracious. We would happily stay here next time we're in the area. Thanks again!

The house is beautiful and in a nice neighbourhood. We got a warm welcome and enjoyed the stay very much. The view into the garden was like in the picture - lovely. The tatami-room was elegant and cozy. We were happy to enjoy the hospitality of the host family. Arigatou gouzaimasu!

The PERFECT place to stay in Akita. So quiet and beautiful. Surrounded by rice fields and a great place for sunset too. Hosts were so kind and friendly and rooms were spacious and cool. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in Akita.

The host was extremely accommodating. I was the only one in the guest house during my stay except for one night. Each day she made me breakfast and dinner, which was delicious might I add. She also lent me her personal bike. Honestly, even with the location, the host's accommodating nature makes up for it all. A lovely human being.

Room rates were cheaper than the city center. Host was friendly in communicating, even though he spoke mostly japanese. We answered in English and he was smiling away. Loads of parking available.
