The kindest and most welcoming hosts, set in the beautiful location of Moni. Hans, Emelda & family really made us feel like we were at home - from inviting us to their Son’s celebration one evening, tending to our injuries after we took a fall, arranging buses for us, and organising for their Nephew Anton to show us around his village. We fully recommend if you want a homestay that make you feel like part of their family!

Great location for Kelimutu. Very sweet landlady. In nice weather, you have a balcony looking over the whole village. There’s a very atmospheric bar/restaurant about five mins away that does really good live music. We got invited to a local holy communion which was a crazy introduction to local culture. Very welcoming local community.

That was our best accomodation in Moni (and we stayed in 3 different ones). The family is very welcoming and helpful, they helped us with the motorbike renting when it didn't work anywhere else in the village. The room was perfect, very clean and spacious. We recommend it 100%!

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at The Mahoni Guest House this past week during our stay in Moni. We had a truly fantastic experience. The proprietor, Ibu Hadjah, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel very much at home. She helped us to sort out of plans for what to do in and around Moni and arranged for a car and driver to get us to Mt. Kelimutu and to Koka Beach on the south coast (which was terrific!!). Mahoni is also right next to Mopi's cafe, which is charming and has great food! I look forward to a return visit in the future. Highly recommended!
