Simply incredible stay – from the communication with the stunningly friendly owner (who speaks perfect English), his great organisation of our arrival to the apartment itself. Mathieu welcomed us right in front of the door, helped us unloading our car and then drove with me to the private parking space which is a 5min walk away from the property (it costs 20 EUR per day but is totally worth it). Note: The apartment is inside the historic city wall but still outside Avignon's low emission zone so you don't need to worry about the "crit d'air" badge. And it also means that you're literally right inside the historic city center. The apartment we had is basically a big flat on two levels and boasts everything you might need. It's extremely (!) clean and has incredibly comfortable beds. There's also a beautiful outside area with a little swimming pool which works as a surprising quiet oasis (unfortunately we couldn't use it due to really bad weather). Plus: There's a well-stocked little supermarket right down the street (1min walk) with generous opening times and super-friendly staff.

The hotel faces a narrow alley, we could feel atmosphere and history of the heart of Avignon. The owners of the hotel are very friendly, rooms are very clean. We had a delicious breakfast in a glass pavilion in the garden while relaxing.

We loved everything. Remi and Monique are absolutely charming and cannot do enough for you. They offer a spotless and completely private self contained apartment within their beautiful home. Everything is provided. The location is fabulous. You can leave your car in a free car park close by and take a free bus into the town centre. This is an ideal and stress free solution.

The beautiful apartment in an 18th century house is immaculately kept and beautifully decorated by the wonderful host Michele, who is thoughtful in providing accommodation with many extra home comforts. She is very helpful regarding places to visit in Avignon, and our attempting to communicate in French, although she has excellent English. It is in a central location in the old town close to monuments, and many great cafes and restaurants. In the height of summer and the busy annual theatre festival of Avignon it was an oasis to return to, and the private lounge area, and air conditioned bedroom were wonderful, quiet escapes from the bustling, hot town. We slept exceptionally well in the quiet, cool bedroom. Excellent bathroom and shower also.

The fact that the host Jean Luc, a charming and helpful widower, has really married his hotel and thus manages it with extraordinary care and tenderness. All this in a location that is perfect as a base to explore the beatiful Provence. And finally the bargain of getting a 40m2 room for the price of the standard 18m2 room.

Great communication with the host from the beginning. The location is truly magical – peaceful, safe, with parking right in front of the house. It's just a short walk to the local bakery and market at the main square. The room was incredibly cosy and had a lovely view into the courtyard. Nathalie was a fabulous host – naturally kind and warm, she provided excellent recommendations that really enriched our stay. Wi-Fi was strong, everything was clean and well-kept – honestly, nothing to complain about. 100% happy with my booking and would absolutely recommend this place!
