The place is in a lovely old pretty historic city, really lovely host , no complaints at all. If you are coming here the navigator will send you through the old town which may not be legal at some times i would guess. When you arrive there is a fountain do no turn right there, go left on the church side and up the wall a bit which should be on your left as you drive, take the first turn and then it will bring you to the arch, the hotel is just there inside as its part of the city walls. The city is big enough so there is a good choice of places to eat but later in the evening We wanted a base to explore the region and this was perfect.

And Robertos own wine very good we even bought some bottles to take away with us. NB.. Do not turn up before 15.00 hrs as Roberto will not open gates for you & will ask you to come back later, we experienced this when lost & we rang him for directions (14.20 hrs) we just needed to know where we nearby as it happened we were 2 minutes away.. we popped into a little bar to have a drink and arrived at hotel around 16.00 hrs.

Residence Al Lago is just 100 metres from Lake Trasimeno and 250 metres from Castiglione del Lago's historic centre. The residence features a large garden with swimming pool. Oh, what a fantastic stay we had! The facilities were absolutely brilliant. Traveling with our furry friend and little one, we were absolutely thrilled when the host gave us a room with its very own small garden – what a treat! We loved spending time out there, and our child and dog had an absolute blast. Inside, the room was sparkling clean, and we were so happy to find a TV equipped with both YouTube and Netflix. Plus, the kitchen was wonderfully equipped, making meal times a breeze. And speaking of refreshing, the swimming pool was just perfect for cooling down during the hot weather – so clean and inviting! A massive shout-out to our host! It was incredibly convenient to have services like a small shop on-site where we could grab snacks and even wine. And breakfast for just €7 per person/day? What a delightful way to start each morning! We left feeling so happy and relaxed!
