Camping along the river was very appealing. The very strong rains made using the river impossible and it was quite damp for tenting, but that was not the fault of the proprietors. They arranged safari vehicles and guides and gave us very good advice about the length of the safari that would be best for our group.

One of the best and most beautifully places we got to stay in during our travels. The rooms are huge, the outdoor bathroom is beautiful. Food was good, service was great. Did the safari with them and would totally recommend, super nice, we got to see many animals and the driver was really nice.

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The staff took care of us like a 5 star hotel would do. They organized a safari on the day and transport the next day for us. I was impressed by the quality of their services.

This unique tent is set on the border of the National Park and comes with a private bathroom. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. In particular, our guide Solomons made the safaris and nature walk so much fun and he was so knowledgeable. We appreciated the upgraded tent!

This ecolodge was enjoyable for my children, husband and myself. The tents were roomy and had flushing toilets and warm showers. The dinners were elegant on white tablecloth under the stars. The safari guide and driver did an excellent job pointing out elephant herds, birds and crocodiles at this park. I recommend this lodge.

Dinesh made sure our stay was one of the best we ever had. The place was clean and very relaxing. The food was top notch. Excellent service and highly recommended
