Manoji and her husband are exceptional hosts: Manoji’s thoughtfulness and care (and her cooking lessons!) made the space feel like home. Highbury is a short tuktuk ride away from the Gallery Cafe and Geoffrey Bawa’s Residence (No. 11). Would definitely return to Highbury if I’m ever back in Colombo!

Great cultural/historical experience. If you a bawa fan this stay is essential. So well preserved, and the staff make the experience authentic. While the stay felt like a preserved time capsule it also offered a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Tharak and Anthony were great hosts. Helpful and friendly.

Set in Colombo on a private peninsula by the banks of the historic Diyawanna Lake, Aathma Colombo House provides accommodation with a garden. I loved staying at this beautiful, proud, authentic and uncompromising Sri Lankan family home come hotel, finished as it was to the highest of standards and so very tastefully decorated, all risen up from the once lakeside bank. I was greeted by my courteous hosts on arrival, respectful of my long journey from the UK, and made to feel welcomed and comfortable right away. My accommodation was as described and expected; it was immaculate (cleaned twice during my stay of three nights) and more than adequate for my needs. The food was delicious; although breakfast was lovely, my evening meals have been the best I have had here so far, being especially well cooked and prepared, further enhancing my first-time-in-Sri Lanka experience. The hosts arranged local tuc tucs and drivers for me, usually at short notice, and we're always keen to help out, particularly with timings on my leaving day. I said that if I came to Sri Lanka again I would stay here again and I meant it. Thank you all for the quality of all of your services and your thoughtfulness throughout my stay.

Located in the suburbs of Colombo city, 55TG Boutique Suites offers an authentic home stay experience in a two story 1920's period house with a garden, outdoor pavilion, living room and a lounge. The roof top pool is great and the food was exceptional.

Nestled on a serene lane in Colombo 3, Lake Lodge is a charming 10-room retreat that combines understated elegance with warm hospitality in the heart of the capital. A beautiful property with a very relaxed, tranquil feel away from the hustle and bustle of the main Colombo Streets but still a great location to get to places easily . Room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. Lovely open air dining room where we had the best breakfasts. The staff were very professional and super friendly and helpful. Amazing service from everyone.

It was a pleasure staying in this appartment... In the center of colombo... We had a upgrade on our arrive... The staff was very nice with us.. Nice comfy bed (had such a good sleep here), 4 pillows harder and softer, clean linen and towels smell good, great air conditioning, amazing blackout curtens. Clean and well designed and well equipped. Enough sockets well placed. Soft clean carpet on the floor. Spacious bathroom. Beautiful restaurant with tasty food. Polite personnel. Great pool area with clean water and beautiful view. They offer cleaning every day, but we didn't use it. Also there are smart doors with the light you can switch on to not be disturbed - loved it. Special thank you to Sadeesh, he was so very nice wnd welcoming to us when we arrived in the middle of the night.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was exceptional to say the least. A beautiful hotel with a stunning sea view. They serve a delicious buffet breakfast with both Sri Lankan and English varieties. Many shops are nearby. Additionally I would like to compliment and thanks Mr Inshaf who made me feel at home. He assured everything needed for my stay to be relaxing and also as I was traveling solo, whenever I went down to the reception, he always spared some time for me to have a little chat and made me feel at home. If you are considering to stay at this hotel, give them a try and you will have a great time.
