The breakfast was amazing, the location is right next to the station, so super convenient. The views from the room are also great, overlooking the city and the station.

Hotel The West Hills Mito terletak di Mito, 2.4km dari Stesen Mito dan 18-minit berjalan kaki dari Kairaku-en. We chose this hotel because of its location. The hotel is in walking distance to the Kairakuen garden one of the 3 great gardens of Japan. It’s a must see in our opinion and the traditional house in the garden is beautiful. The room was small but comfortable, as always the beds are firm. The breakfast was excellent, they will make you eggs, 3 different ways so they are nice and warm. The other selections are mostly Japanese but the croissants were great warmed up in the toaster oven. We asked for a room with a view and it was fine. There is a 7/11 downstairs. It’s also convenient to visit the Hitachi Seaside Park. We we were lucky enough to see it in full bloom. Amazing!

The hotel is situated slightly off the main road, but this means that the place itself is very peaceful and serene. Apart from that, the hotel does try it best to stay ahead of changes, such as providing EV charging within its carpark. The room that we chose was quite huge and have a nice view of Naka River. Quite stunning indeed. The staff were very nice and helpful, even going through the extra mile to communicate using translator device to assist us in the check-in. The carpark spaces are ample so no worries about parking there.
