A beautiful hotel, in a quiet location just a minutes walk from the Port. Big rooms with high ceilings. The staff were wonderful.

The property was also super close to the port, like a 2 minute walk, so you didn’t have to drag your suitcase super far on cobblestone. Made traveling so much more convenient. The hot tub also has a beautiful view of Hydra!

Boasting magnificent views overlooking Hydra, the recently renovated Hotel Hydra is a turn-of-the-century building set in the heart of the island of Hydra. The nearest swimming area is a 5-minute walk away. The views, room amenities, staff helpfulness are all pluses to the Hotel Hydra. When I chose the hotel, I knew it was up a long path with many stairs. However, the views at the hotel and the surrounding sights made the walk worth it. The signage is good so it is difficult to get lost. The area around the hotel has an historic mansion and the family home of a famous artist. Both were excellent and interesting visits.
