This was a wonderful experience. My mom and I traveled from Cotacachi for an overnight medical test at Hospital Axxis. The staff was amazing and attentive. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The taxi service back to the hospital in the morning saved us so much stress. Oh, and the breakfast buffet was exquisite. 10/10 would recommend.

From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed and cared for. The hotel is charming, cozy and beautifully renovated but what truly made my experience unforgettable was the people. The wonderful girls working there, Jessica and Viviana, were incredibly warm, attentive and thoughtful. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, even taking the time to show me around the city and walk me to nearby places at night so that I felt completely safe. The owner, Alex, was equally wonderful and welcoming and he made me feel at home right away. Every detail, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the personalized attention and the delicious breakfast with fresh natural juices, exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night, but this place is just great and the hosts could not have been more helpful, the communication was excellent and the coffee was the best ever. This small hotel is not only new (opened three years ago) but also perfectly maintained and super clean. Tucked in a quiet and safe corner, in a short walking distance to a shopping mall (2 mins away), taxis and ATMs, the hotel is also close to the city centre, so we even walked downtown (15 mins) and back in the evening. The beds meet the standards of a four-star hotel, so you can sleep comfortably after chilling in bed watching Netflix and resting before climbing Chimborazo.

The outside is deceiving but inside is tasteful with rooms surrounding an inner courtyard. The suite we stayed in was wonderful - spacious, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated and furnished. The staff, and Andrea in particular, are excellent - attentive and doing what they can to make sure the stay is a success. The breakfast was nice with fresh juice, fruit, and eggs made to order. The location is walkable and felt safe even coming back in the early evening. Plenty of restaurants close by as well as various historic buildings. Lots of little touches that showed concern for guest well being.

Breakfast food provided, if there's anything else you need they will accommodate. Laundry service was great, great recommendations for restaurants and things to see in Quito. We stayed 3 nights, highly recommend.

You can play darts at this 4-star hotel, and the area is popular for cycling. Paola is a wonderful host! She goes out of her way to help her guests. It was the third stay I had at Casa Sakiwa and it always feels like coming home after each climb in Cotopaxi National Park. Great breakfast too!
