It offers free WiFi, massage, free parking and 24-hour reception. Cecelia, her staff and her children Irene and Roberto went above and beyond on my stay. I felt cared for like an intimate family member. Classical music playing in the morning and her staff providing food to the birds and squirrels each morning from the breakfast view made me feel like I was in a storybook.

Family run and so friendly and safe. Loved the garden & inside outside vibe. The area is gorgeous and has great shops & restaurants. Breakfast is huge, but you can tailor it to your needs. Poor dad went from trying to feed me everything to 2 perfectly boiled eggs. A great base in San Jose and a very nice neighbourhood.

I felt like I was at home, or perhaps staying with a favourite aunt. It felt like home. And the breakfast, oh dear - it's a shared table (not great if you're not a morning person, but I muddled through and thoroughly enjoyed it) and Laurie moaned that she "didn't have much this morning" and then served up enough food to feed a horde of hungry adolescents. Love all the animals, the terrace is magical...I could go on. So very glad I found this place and I'll see you next year :-)

The location was excellent! The staff was very kind. Even when we left the hotel at 6 AM, they gave us something to eat (it was the included breakfast, but it officially started at 7 AM). The sandwiches were not that good, but the attention was good.
