Achiotte by Masaya Collection has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a bar and garden in Barichara. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. We stayed here twice during our trip to Colombia. The first time we were in the Suite with outdoor shower and private plunge pool for 4 nights. The room was huge and more than we really needed. We think the water and plants in the outdoor shower attracted some mosquitos as our second stay was in the junior suite and we didn’t see any mosquitos. The Junior Suite was also huge and had a more private outdoor sitting area whereas the Suite sitting area was right near reception so more people walking by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we were to go to Barichara again, we would absolutely stay here but in the Junior Suite.
