Set in a Gothic monastery, Kruisherenhotel Maastricht - Oostwegel Collection, member of Design Hotels has free WiFi. It has a mezzanine level restaurant in the central church hall. Rooms were fabulous, quirky but roomy. Veery comfortable and so many amazing features to look at in the original architecture. Great location to walk throughout the city and to the sightseeing cruises., very easy walk.

Located in Valkenburg and with Vrijthof reachable within 12 km, Château St Gerlach - Oostwegel Collection, member of Relais and Châteaux provides a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... Everything was excellent, especially considering that the hotel was having some renovation work done and there were clearly issues with IT and some organisation due to one building being out of action. But considering those handicaps the place did remarkably well and the dogs absolutely adored it - wonderful, safe country walking, their first geese, plenty of interesting artworks ......and total peace and quiet. I would put in a special mention for the excellent , charming service - nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The dogs would say, if they could, that they LOVED their smart khaki padded beds, the generous bowls of dog treats, the designer poo bags and the admiring pats from one of the staff, who slipped them a few extra nibbles.....
