I feel the need to praise the restaurant, especially the Makan kitchen, where I really enjoyed the buffet. The indian corner was tasteful and the chinese as well.

The Majestic Hotel has always been my favorite place to stay in Melaka. It’s tucked away from the chaos of Jonker Street, yet still close enough to reach on foot. You can take a scenic walk along the river or wander through the town—both routes are equally enjoyable. The rooms are consistently clean and beautifully maintained. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are incredibly helpful, polite, and well-informed about the city and all it has to offer. The only thing I’d like to point out to the management is the bed—it looks plush and inviting, but unfortunately, it’s not as comfortable as it appears! A little upgrade in that area would make the stay absolutely perfect.

The property is non-smoking and is set 1 km from The Stadthuys. What an incredible hotel. This was the perfect end to a 2-week stay in Malaysia. Our room (Executive King) was lovely - very spacious, huge comfy bed, bathroom with shower and bath, and great views over the historic centre and out to the sea. The breakfast was very good, with a great choice. The pool is huge and we had it to ourselves for a lot of the time. The Exec lounge area is comfy with a nice choice of refreshments. The hotel is easy walking distance to China Town, Jonker Street and the historic centre. But most of all, the staff were truly wonderful. Thank you to Douglas, Hilmi, the breakfast manager, the lovely lady from reception, and the doormen. You all made this stay very special, despite us feeling a little sad at the end of our holiday and after saying goodbye to our son who is off to work and travel in Australia for a year. The perfect end to a lovely holiday. I hope we get to come back.
