I had an amazing time at this property! The rooms were spacious and provided a great view of the lagoon. The balcony was amazing with a private pool and hammock. I enjoyed the restaurant and sun beds as well. The location of the hotel is great and very close to the town. The hotel staff was so kind and they helped us call taxi's to and from the property when we would head to town. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I will definitely be back and recommend to anyone going to Bacalar!

I've given this a perfect rating though I don't think it's quite perfect. The thing is there is something special about being there. The natural beauty and peaceful feeling of the lagoon are highlighted by carefully designed rooms and a reasonably limited number of guests. It never feels overcrowded. The hotel design captures the magic of the location and they provided comfort and service above my expectations

Hotel Casa Hormiga mempunyai basikal percuma, kolam renang luaran, taman dan teres di Bacalar. Very peaceful place, with enough privacy per room (You do not get to feel overcrowded any time). Breakfast was exceptional, staff was always extra helpful and super friendly. Overall a great experience and a great place to stay at. 100% recommended :)

Casa Chukum - Hotel Boutique mempunyai basikal percuma, kolam renang luaran, taman dan ruang tamu berkongsi di Bacalar. The staff is really nice and helps you with everything in planning your days by the great Baccalar lagoon! In addition the hotel is just so cozy with slightly chaotic art everywhere and loads of nice little lounge area's. The bed was also wonderful so we had the best sleep in Mexico!

We arrived very early, 6am and the hotel were very accommodating and provided us a room straight away. We had booked a room with sea view. The wi-fi was not working upon arrival and shortly after checking in we were offered a room on a different floor, the WiFi was working on that floor but the view from the room was amazing. I woke every morning to watch the sunrise during our three day stay there. I would definitely recommend a room with view of the lagoon. See attached pictures of sunrise. The staff have a basic grasp of English and it was more than my Spanish but they were very helpful and where we couldn't understand each other we used Google translate. We had meals in the restaurant, the menu was changed whilst we were there and compared to other places nearby the cost was slightly cheaper. There is a small pool and some seating by the lagoon, it was nice to sit by the lagoon and watch the boats go by and also there was a bit of a breeze there. It was very hot and humid during our stay so the breeze was much welcomed. Our room was a good size, we had two double beds. The air-conditioning was much needed at some times to cool down and worked well. There is a smart tv although we didn't really use this much during our stay. Taxi was arranged for us to go to the bus station when we were leaving. Overall really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a 20 minute walk to where we had arranged a boat trip of the lagoon and less than ten minutes by taxi to a supermarket. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay if we visited again.

I liked especially the location at the lakefront, with a beautiful view of the lake and the great sunrises. The room, in our case a bungalow with a great view of the lake with a balcony, was extraordinary

Loved the common spaces on upper level. Loved the private rooftop patio in the King rooms. Clean, fresh, well appointed and tasteful.
