The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. We had an incredible two-night stay with our family at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect! They generously upgraded our room free of charge, which made our experience even more special. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner offered a delightful mix of international and local cuisine, catering to all tastes. The rooftop pool was absolutely breathtaking, offering a mesmerizing and picturesque view that left us in awe. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again!

The atmosphere was serene and inviting, and every detail seemed designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. Our room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. The common areas were equally lovely — ideal for both moments of peace and time together as a family. Whether it was a kind gesture at breakfast or a friendly chat at reception, we felt seen, valued, and cared for, especially my 15 months old daughter! This was more than just a stay; it was an experience of true hospitality. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. We can’t wait to come back — thank you for everything!

They have such a wide variety of foods.

A hidden gem above Kandy’s lights, this place is totally worth it. In every room, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of Kandy and the rooms are positioned such that you’ll get to see the sunrise. The place is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. You could truly tell that this is owned by an architect that paid close attention to details. Kogul is an absolute superstar, and we found every staff member friendly, respectful and attentive.. There aren’t very many hotels I have been to where I felt that “I could live here”. The Summit made us feel that way. P.s. they offer candle light dinner at rooftop, that is well worth it.

The setting in Sri Lanka’s lush “foliage” is breathtaking, and the way the architecture blends into the landscape is not only beautiful but simply genius. We felt an overwhelming sense of peace from the moment we arrived. The Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs were life-changing, and the team are so positive and treated us with so much kindness and thoughtfulness. The food was beyond amazing—every meal was filled with such flavour. Santani gave us everything we needed to truly sought to reconnect and release going into the new year. It’s a place that feels magical, and we can’t wait to come back.
