Totally worth the cost! It's in a prime location within walking distance to many prime places. The staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating! The restaurant was out of this world- delicious Italian! Paying for thr breakfast is worth it! So many options!!!!

The Thousand Kyoto features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Shimogyo Ward district of Kyoto. I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The interior is modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The large, comfy bed and exceptionally clean bathroom with minimal style decor and functional design stood out. The lighting creates a cozy ambiance, and the room is fully equipped with amenities. A highlight was the adorable housekeeping robot—such a unique touch!

Open from September 2017, The Celestine Kyoto Gion is set in Kyoto, a 10-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station. Guests can walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in 15 minutes from the property. Everything! Polite, happy, helpful staff from the beginning. Served iced green tea whilst waiting for check in. Luxury feel. Rooms were spacious and bright, the lounge area for use in the afternoons with drinks and snacks was very welcome after a day in the extreme heat/humidity in August. I was emotional to leave, we had such a wonderful stay. Prefer location for Gion, but also easy walk across the bridge/river to busier part of the city. It felt like a home away from home.
