When we arrived, they upgraded our room to a junior suite which was delightful. We had a large king bed, and two balconies that overlooked the ocean. We were very close to the water's edge and could hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. Our view was beautiful, looking out over the water and the town of Kavala. The bed was comfortable. We had two comfy chairs, as well as a desk with a chair. The bathroom was roomy and well equipped. The room was spacious and so relaxing. It comes with a breakfast buffet which was varied and delicious. All the staff were very helpful and most of them spoke decent English. There was a nice market nearby to pick up some fruit and water and snacks. The staff would call for a taxi for us whenever we needed to go anywhere. The hotel itself is about a 5 minute drive from the city of Kavala, which is a very authentic Greek city and not overrun with tourists.

Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Thraki is set on a private beach at the west end of Alexandroupolis. Excellent location! Very friendly staff! The Manager was greeting the guests at evenings - very kind gesture! All the staff was very friendly and helpful!

Makryammos offers beachfront rooms with direct sea view, spread within a pine forest. The 4-star complex features a large swimming pool, and there is a small zoo on site. We visited this place for the second time and everything was wonderful. The deluxe quadruple room is spacious enough and very well designed. The deluxe properties were located very close to the beach The breakfast and dinner were varied and the food was tasty, as last year. The tavern’s problem with time for preparation of the food was solved this year and the food was really very tasty.
